Upcoming release

In Retrospect is the 12th album by the multidisciplinary artist R.Cleveland Aaron, a.k.a. f5point6. As the title suggests, it was an opportunity to glance back on his musical journey to date.

This is a journey that began five years ago when he met up with his good friend and label manager, Matthew Duffield, in Barcelona.

"That was a strange situation as I only intended on showing Matt some of my video art. I was a little apprehensive when he asked about the sounds, as I never thought about it as a stand alone product. "

Matthew however thought otherwise, and in April 2020 f5point6 had his first release on the Barcelona based label, See Blue Audio.

By the end of 2020 he added a further 3 album releases.

"I think during that first lockdown, I found myself with a great deal of time to think and create. For a period I no longer had the five hour round trip from East London to Windsor. The research I carried out on the birth of our planet was then used to create four conceptual ambient/experimental albums"

Between 2021 and 2024 a further six albums were released, one of which was co-produced with Rhombus Index, also of See Blue Audio.

This latest release is a compilation of all his releases to date. One track from each of the previous eleven albums, plus a 12th track which seeks to bridge the gap between what he has learned and that which remains to be explored.
